Consistency is a Gem (Bit#003)

All progress is progress; There is nothing like little progress. How are you measuring it anyway? in #001 i talked of Secret Practice !

I have observed something interesting in the world of the great Kenyan and Ethiopian marathoners, when preparing for a marathon they don't start 2 months or weeks to the marathon, they start earlier. Their practice involves daily stretching their limits: Thing they do is wake up everyday in the morning(4 am/5 am) and just run for more kilometres than they will compete for. They stretch themselves. They do this daily. Not all days are great but they do it anyway. They continually insist in running longer to build stamina. FYI: A full marathon is 42 Kms. (See why i don't do marathons yet am Kenyan :) ?)

Take-away: Want to be a good at your craft: do it daily. No give up days.No rest days. There are days that you will want to give up but maintain your consistency. The only reason you are not good at that thing you do is because you don't do it daily consistently: Of course there is the being S.M.A.R.T. bit but that works because there is consistency!

consistency = continue + Insist
